Finally....

Finally I am adding a post to the blog! It has been a crazy month!! Some of the highlights have been throwing a baby shower for Noah's friend Chloe (due to arrive July 21), birthday parties, visits and today we dedicated Noah at our church! Here are some of the pics from some of the recent happenings...I know some of you have been having withdrawls...haha!....I promise I will try to be better! ;)

Mother's Day!!

I had a wonderful first Mother's Day!! Daniel and Noah took me to the Grove Park Inn for lunch. We went with Daniel's family and had such a nice time! I feel incredibly blessed to be a mom (especially to such an amazing little boy)! So many aren't so fortunate.

Noah's first overnight trip!

This weekend we went to Raleigh to see Noah's Uncle Ben graduate from NC State. It was Noah's first overnight trip and lets just say it was quite crazy! One thing you should know about Noah is that he is not like most babies...he does not fall asleep when the car is moving very easily. So that definitely made for an interesting 4 hour drive! Although on the way back, Joan and I learned that Noah likes it when mommy steps on the gas a little...once I picked up speed he fell right to sleep!! ;)

We arrived Friday night and Daniel and I enjoyed having sushi with some of the fam while Noah's Grandma Joan watched him for us in the hotel. Saturday morning Daniel woke up feeling very sick. Turns out he had food poisoning.....a very serious case of it in fact. So we spent Saturday not at the graduation but a combination of being in the hotel room while poor Daniel was resting and making runs to the bathroom and then because one time he didn't quite make it to the bathroom we left the hotel and spent the afternoon at the park while Daniel layed in the grass trying to make it through. It was an incredibly long day and very crazy trip but I have to say after all of that...I think we can definitely go just about anywhere and pull through. lol. We did have great help from all of Daniel's family which really did bring us through...we are so thankful...it was a struggle trying to help Daniel and tend to Noah at the same time so they were extremely helpful! I was quite nervous about taking Noah overnight for the first time not knowing what will come...boy did we learn a lot!! lol!

FOUR MONTHS!!!

Honestly, I cannot believe I am even writing this blog. In some ways I can't believe how big our little guy has gotten and then in others I can't even remember what life was like without him. But he is now four months old!!! The last few weeks he has made some incredible changes...all of which seem so small but are so exciting to Daniel and I. Here lately he has been grabbing and holding his feet, holding a bottle, laughing (not just a little anymore...full on laughing!!), we swear he says "hi"...just humor me on this. lol. Every time we say "Hi" we really think he says "Hi" back. lol. He also can hold his head up very well and stand on his legs for quite some time. It is amazing to see all of these little changes he is making everyday. I am so fortunate to be his mommy!!!
We had a four month well baby check-up today. Noah now weights 16.25lbs., and is 26 in. long!!! He is getting so big. It looks like pretty soon we will be introducing him to solid foods so we are looking forward to that new adventure...I am looking forward to seeing him try new things! I think we are going to make his baby food...so we will see how that goes! He also had his shots today...soooo sad. I can definitely tell a difference from the first time, he was much more upset and irritable today then last time, but still doing great!!
Here are some recent pictures.......
